2006 BENJAMIN FRANKLIN ISSUE

The Postal Service issued 39-cent commemorative stamps on April 7, 2006, Benjamin Franklin, in four designs. With the issuance of these stamps, the Postal Service recognizes the 300th anniversary of the birth of Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790), an American icon whose diverse accomplishments as a printer, postmaster, scientist, and statesman earned him a cherished place in the history of our nation.
