APOLO - SOYUS Test proyect 1975

The first international manned spaceflight and a symbolic end to the nearly 20-year-long Space Race between the United States and the Soviet Union. The Soyuz19 spacecraft was launched on July 17, 1975; 31 years ago! Here some Pictorial Covers celebrating this great event !!

It was the last Apollo flight as well as the last manned US space launch until the first Space Shuttle flew in April 1981.

These stamps share the design of two Soviet stamps released on the same date to commemorate this historic first joint U.S./Soviet mission.
