While we are known foremost for our success protecting endangered species and preserving wild places, we understand that in order to achieve our conservation goals, we must dedicate ourselves to addressing the global challenges that have the potential to impact our living planet.

NICARAGUA'S FAUNA ON STAMPS
Nicaragua is the largest country in Central America, with a great wealth and diversity of Flora and Fauna. Nicaragua's fauna includes mammals such as pumas, jaguars, ocelots, margays, various monkeys, deer, and peccaries; birds range from eagles to egrets to macaws and pelicans; reptiles include crocodiles, snakes, turtles, and lizards; and a variety of toads, frogs, fishes, mollusks, and insects are also found. Fauna, like the flora, varies considerably from one ecosystem to another.
